ahh coca cola

It's a hot summer's day and a nice cold Coca Cola in one of those sweet, classic glass bottles is a perfect refreshment for a young girl fashionably yet oh so comfortably dressed. If you've seen a typical Coca Cola commercial, a lady/guy has a coke and everything is just perfect and dandy, happy-go-lucky and carefree. What is that one thing that can brighten your whole day? The latest Teen Vogue magazine, a big really-meant-it hug, your best friend who also is your boyfriend, having a clear conscience and doing a good deed that wasn't necessarily noticed, a friendly cashier at the grocery store, beautiful things like flowers and a cute little red-headed baby, a Chloe bag maybe, a cute cat, an ice cream, just a simple smile... It's the little things in life that matter! Don't miss the little things that people do for you and do a lot of them for all your loved ones! And be happy!!

my neglected precious

sorry for my complete, utterly disgusting lack of posts! but i'm finishing up high school (yayyy baby yeah). then i shall devote my entire life to you my precious blog. here's something i wrote/made before.

I've taken an interest in skirts starting yesterday. Skirts. (I'm not talking about the denim mini which everyone knows who to wear.) Hardly anyone wears them anymore. Everyone is either wearing a dress or skinny jeans. Wear a skirt, and you'll pretty much instantly stand out.

Skirts are harder to style though. And your outfit will probably cost more compared to a dress outfit. But knee-length skirt or floor-length, you can put together a comfortable and chic outfit. To wear a skirt casually, you can follow the lead of Kirsten Dunst and Keira Knightley and just wear a casual tee on top. (See photo collage below.) For a dressier occasion, find a stand-out skirt and pair it with a relatively plain neutral-colored top (see Chloe Sevigny and Rachel Bilson). Funk it up with a bright pair of flats (Mischa Barton and Mary-Kate Olsen) or add a cute, vintage purse (Zooey Deschanel). Feel free to define your waist more by adding a belt like Selma Blair, Kirsten Dunst, and Rachel Bilson. However you decide to put together your outfit, have fun with it and feel unique!

Chanel Resort 07

I said I was going to make a collage on Chanel's Spring 2007 Couture show but I changed my mind. These clips are from Chanel's most recent show, the resort show. Now, let me give you a tip. If you ever feel uninspired with outfits that don't quite give you that happy i-look-sooo-good feeling that brightens the whole day... go onto www.style.com and go through some fashion shows. Look at some really crazy shows, look up Chanel, Christian Lacroix, couture shows, Zac Posen resort, Matthew Williamson, Erin Fetherson... Look at the hair, find shows with amazing out-there makeup. Those shoes! Those bags! Ectasy, rejoicing.. gorgeous fabrics, gorgeous jewels, fabulous colors... INSPIRATION! You may despair a bit initially but those photos will stay in your mind and next time you go to your closet you'll have new ideas such as hey this color looks sweet with this color and next time you go shopping you won't quite get bogged down and you'll know what to choose out of the jumble.

Chloe Sevigny

I had posted these on my previous myspace blog but I want to put them here. So yes, Chloe Sevigny is just about the coolest blonde. And I say this because of her style, I've never watched any of her movies.

Gala 07

So, I loved looking through all the dresses that were worn for the Costume Institute Gala 07. My absolute favorite dress is Camilla Belle's (on the right above) which is from Jean Paul Gaultier Couture show for spring. Favorites from you? Looking at them made me want to look at the Spring 2007 Couture fashion shows. The Chanel one was marvelous. Oh my. ohhh myy. heart-attack-inducing gorgeous. Alright, that's it, I'll make a collage on that next.

show some skin

so here i am. the beginning. finally at blogspot. and i'm listening to radiohead but i need to change that. now i'm listening to lady grinning soul by david bowie. the reason i remembered the song was because i was reading an interview of lou doillon. the interviewer asked her what her favorite song was. lou: "i hate favorites. today my favorite is bowie's lady grinning soul. tomorrow, who knows." note: i adore lou doillon and her style. so, it's a beautiful day! show some skin.
